Additional Information

  1. This year the club intends to provide all information to members predominantly via email and on the club's website. It will be the responsibility of individual members to use these communication tools to stay up to date.
  2. A $100 deposit towards the cost of 2012 membership needs to be paid on sign up day. If this deposit isn't paid on sign up day, it must be paid at the first 2012 training session.
  3. If potential new members hear about the club through other means, they are welcome to have 1 free training session (try it out to see if it's what they are after). However, any such person who wants to continue to train, must pay (at least) the $100 deposit by the 2nd training session they attend. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this!
  4. If a member only wants to train (i.e. not play fixtures), s/he must pay $160 for the 2012 calendar year (this equates to a training fee of less than $5 per week). Note that all such members will also need to become a casual or social member of VQ (at an additional cost of $40). This membership provides all such persons with medical insurance coverage in case of training injuries.
  5. All members who are going to play PVL will need to become full members of VQ.
  6. The club committee will develop a payment plan after sign on day for any member who wishes to have one (similar to 2011). Note that all monies need to be paid to the club prior to the commencement of Round 1 of the PVL competition. A strict policy of no pay, no play will be enforced with NO EXCEPTIONS.
  7. All monies paid to the club are NON REFUNDABLE as the club has to make a financial commitment based on the number of members who sign up. If members who sign up, pay their deposit/full membership fee and then decide to not train/play, they will NOT be entitled to any refunds.
  8. As well as signing off on the club and player policies document, all members will receive a hardcopy of the club and player policies document for their future reference.
  9. Club trials will be held at Craigslea SHS on the 30th & 31st January 2012 and also on the 6th & 7th February 2012. After these trials, teams or squads will be decided and members advised accordingly.
  10. All members will be required to attend a compulsory refereeing course prior to the commencement of the 2012 PVL – without attendance at this course, individual members will not be able to play in the 2012 PVL competition. This course will be organised and paid for by the club and will cover the basics of refereeing and also scoring.
  11. Trainings will be twice a week on Monday and Tuesday nights at the Craigslea SHS hall. Reserve grade will be from 6pm to 7.30pm and A Grade will be from 7.30pm to 9.30pm both nights. Matt will be coaching both mens squads and (unfortunately at this stage) we are still attempting to secure the services of a womens coach.
